Item CPH/29 - 人口教育挂图 - 七：我国人口的特征 [POPULATION EDUCATION WALL POSTER - VII: Characteristics of the National Population]

The poster uses three key phrases to describe the characteristics of the national population, namely "fast growth", "large base", and "young age structure". There are charts and words under each key phrase to further demonstrate the meanings. For "fast growth", there is a bar graph that compares the natural population growth rates among China, the USA, the Soviet Union, Japan, and West Germany in the years 1950 and 1970. For "large base", there is a graph that explains what a large population base means to the annual net increase of the national population. For "young age structure", there is a pyramid model that explains the age composition, and another pie chart to demonstrate the percentage of young people (which highlights people under 30, with 0-14 in particular) in the total population. There are drawings of a group of young children running on the Great Wall, with young women and young couples walking and smiling in the picture.
