Posters relating to the Chinese one-child population control policy and reproductive health were collected in Beijing during the 1980s and 1990s. The collection includes posters covering topics such as birth control methods for both males and females; premarital health checks; the influence of population control on economic development, the environment, and society; and better childrearing and education. In particular, the collection contains posters from different series, including Family Planning Wall Poster, Population and Education, the United Nation's Fourth World Conference on Women 1995 Beijing, and Population and Family Planning Comic.
