Huang Jiguang (黄继光) was made a Hero Special Class of the Chinese People's Volunteers for his contribution to the Korean War. After throwing his last hand-mine, Huang threw himself on top of the machine-gun slip of a US-manned dugout. The height was taken, but Huang died.
