Black bowler hat with cream silk lining and detached leather inner hat band. The hat is made of fine black wool felt with a black grosgrain ribbon around the crown and trimming the edges of the brim. The top of the crown has been slightly dented. The crown is lined in pleated cream silk satin with a moire silk ribbon at the top printed in black with: G. A. Dunn & Co. The brown leather inner hat band (detached) has small cut outs around each end, threaded with cream silk ribbon (for adjustment). On one side is embossed and printed in gold: G. A. Dunn & Co. Ltd / London. On the other side is: Best Roan Leather. The band has a square pink paper stamp on the underside printed with: This Hat / Union Made / Felt Hatters & Trimmers Union.
Inside the crown is a paper stamp with 6 3/4 [size] 4152

Peaked cap with detachable face mask and neck cover made of olive drab green Chrome-R nylon. The cap has a hard curved peak brim at the front, reinforced with four lines of stitching. It has an adjustment buckle and tab at the back and a line of black webbing around the sides with four poppers on each. It has black padded inner hat band but no lining, the inside seams are bound in black fabric. C.P. Company label in white sewn to the front of the cap with zig-zag stitching.
The mask is a half circle shape made of olive drab green Chrome-R nylon with a section of black mesh over the front and two poppers to attach to the cap. The lining and bindings are of the same fabric as the front part.
The neck cover is made of olive drab green Chrome-R nylon in two curve-edged square shapes attached in a short section on one side. It is elasticated across the top and has two sections of black webbing with three poppers on each to attach to the cap.
C.P. CompanyHelmet or hood made of silver coloured heat reflective material. It has a rectangular shaped gold coloured reflective curved visor window in the front. The hood has a peaked top with a hanging loop in dark orange material and panels that come over the chest and upper back. The back panel has two long tabs with elasticated sections which attach with metal press studs to the front panel, they thread under the arms to secure the hood on the shoulders.
The inside of the hood has a black plastic structure to sit on the head and lined in red fabric.
