The poster is the second page of series 1 of the Population and Family Planning Comic (6 in total). It contains a comic story named "the light of the nation, the light of hope" (co-created by Wang Fuyang and Xu Jin). The scenarios in this story include (but are not limited to) prenatal health checks at the hospital, that couples are being informed that marriages in the proximity of blood are forbidden by the law at a marriage inquiry desk, and soldiers and veteran cadres are educating and promoting the importance and benefits of implementing the family planning policy to the public. This comic series is published by Beijing Children's Art Association, Beijing Family Planning Publicity and Education Centre, and Beijing Family Planning Association.
