The poster shows the population distribution map in Beijing. Next to the map, there is a chart to further demonstrate how the population is distributed in each district and county in Beijing in the year 1982. There is a graph showing the natural variation of the population in Beijing, which includes the changes in birth rate, death rate, and natural growth rate between 1950 and 1985. Besides, the poster contains a diagram that compares the changes in the age structure of the population in Beijing in 1964 with 1982, with the obvious increase in young people between the ages of 20 and 25 and the drastic decrease in the number of children from the ages 0 to 10. At the bottom of the poster, it states: "control the quantity of the population, increase the quality of the population. Actively participate in the one-child insurance scheme." The poster is compiled by the Beijing Family Planning Committee and the Department of Geography at Beijing Normal University.
