The poster demonstrates the increase in population by showing how lines of the Chinese character “人" [human] in different colours turns into men and women holding hands and subsequently bigger families with more people in the picture. There is a globe behind the image of people. At the bottom, there is Pinyin of the title [REN LEI BI XU SHI XING JI HUA SHENG YU]. This poster is credited to China Family Planning Association, Shanghai Branch, and Shanghai Family Planning Publicity and Education Subcentre.
