Scope and content
Headed notepaper: Dundee Advertiser, Evening Telegraph and Post, The Happy Home, People's Journal, People's Friend, My Weekly, John Leng & Co. Ltd., 7 Bank Street, Dundee. Signed.
'I shall be in London on Wednesday 19th current, and shall be obliged if you will call to see me at our London Office, 186 Fleet Street, at 3 o'clock afternoon on that day. As I have a number of appointments, I hope the day and hour will suit you.
The two stories you are at present engaged upon are getting along very well, and we would need to be looking ahead for successors. I shall be glad if you will turn the matter over in your mind, between now and Wednesday, when we could discuss any ideas which you have.'
