Hood for an academic gown made from a black, grosgrain fabric. The hood is worn around the neck [it goes on over the head], draping over shoulders, with the long cowl draping down the back. The hood attaches to the shirt of the wearer via a a small loop of fabric [no broken] attached to the thinner, front section of the hood. The back of the hood is trimmed with white fur.
