Mr J. Bruce Walker is reported to have delivered a lecture on the 'economic position of Canada. Also, William W. Hoy delivered a lecture on the 'economic position of South Africa'. Mr H.A.F Lindsay, the Indian Trade Commissioner also delivered a lecture on the subject of Indian Trade. Photographs show Miss K Becksteede who was a winner of the hair waving trials at the Regent Street Polytechnic in 1927. Press cuttings also debate the idea that the youths of the time favour dancing over education. This is challenged by a variety of reports which show how the popularity of the Polytechnic challenges this idea. Reports of the 'pageant of progress fete and exhibition' that opened in 1927.
