Newspaper cutting from The Daily Graphic, Monday February 19, 1912, featuring images from the Southern Cross-country Championships held at Hillingdon Court, Uxbridge, in which the Highgate Harriers were successful for the tenth year in succession; Images include: the teams starting; a group of the Oxford University team which came in fourth; and F C Neaves, the first man home; 145x200mm. Newspaper cutting withheadline: "Laying the trail", featuring a photograph of the trail layers work during the Southern Cross-country championships. Note added in hand dating the cutting as March 23 1912 and identifying the individuals pictured as: F Grainge (Uxbridge Harriers), Finchley Harriers, and W M Tombleson (Poly Harriers); 186x130mm.
