1. D. Wilson ahead of J. Wood and on his way to victory in a club mile run. His winning time was 4 minutes, 14.8 seconds. The race was held at Chiswick on the 22nd July 1948. The Polytechnic Magazine covered the race in their August 1948 edition, page 210.
