Double breasted, black, wool overcoat with peaked lapels, each with a single buttonhole. At either side of the waist there is a jetted pocket with a flap. Four black buttons sit at the front. Inside the right pocket there is a smaller horizontal, watch pocket. At the reverse, there is a vent that runs up from the hem to just below waist level. Inside, the coat is lined in a black satin fabric across the shoulders, with the remainder lined in a dark green and white tartan. Zug Leather Work Boots

Hard wearing, ankle high, work boots made from a brown leather. The boots have leather laces which thread through the seven pairs of eyelets. There is a steel toe cap and across each toe there is decorative perforations similar to those found on brogues. The boots have a chunky sole which is made from rubber. Unknown

Single breasted tunic made from a red, felted wool. The tunic has a small standing collar with a hook and eye fastening; and is made from a reinforced felt, trimmed with gold ribbon. On each side of the collar there gold, domed button which is decorated with a map of the world. Gold braid surrounds these buttons. The tunic is front fastening via eight, ornate, gold domed buttons, each of which have a different design [including Royal Corps of Signals; Royal Engineers; Royal Army Ordinance Corps; Royal Army Medical Corps; Royal Munster Fusiliers]. The tunic is lightly tailored with slight flaring of the short skirts. the buttons stop at the waist seam which runs the circumference of the tunic. The chest panel is slightly quilted to give a rounded shape. The tunic has long sleeves with a mariner’s cuff that features a black slash, edged in white piping. The cuff has three, gold, domed buttons decorated with the words 'Royal Marines Light Infantry' and a crest with an anchor and crown. The cuffs has faux buttonholes are outlined with gold ribbon. At the reverse there is also a metal hook on the waistband which would have been used to hold a type of pouch known as a sabretache. There are also six slightly smaller, gold domed buttons, embellished with the Royal Marines Light Infantry crest and white piping in the same style as the cuffs. Inside, the tunic is lined. Ski Trousers

Ski trousers made from a black, wool fabric. Front fastening, the trousers have a button fly with five black buttons and a buckle fastening at the waist. . For added stability, there is an additional button on the inside of the waistband that fastens to a button hole at the top of the fly. On the inside of the waistband their are six additional buttons that enable braces to be worn. At the front of the trousers, on either side of the fly, there is a horizontal, flap pocket with a button fastening. An identical pocket can be found at the reverse of the trousers on the right side. The legs of the trousers have a slight balloon shape. Each cuff has vents and there is a cotton strap that wraps around each leg and feeds through a loop to secure it in place. The trousers are lined with a cotton fabric in a pale blue and light brown check fabric. Unknown

Hard wearing ski mittens. The mittens are made from a cream / pale brown coloured leather up to the wrist. The remaining section, going from the wrist and up the arm [approximately 15cm in length], is made from black cotton and has a drawstring that can be tightened to keep the cold out. Lillywhites

Singled breasted jacket made from a woollen fabric in a brown and cream Jacob Tweed. The jacket has notch lapels [with a buttonhole on the left lapel] and is front fastening via two brown, plastic buttons. On the left side of the chest there is a welted breast pocket and there is a jetted, flap pocket on either side of the waist. To the reverse of the jacket there is a vent. The jacket is lined with a brown, satin fabric. There is a jetted pocket on the inside of the chest on the right hand side. Unknown

Double breasted suit jacket made from a black woollen fabric. Jacket has pointed lapels in a silk serge type fabric, with a buttonhole on each lapel. It is front fastening. There are four, black buttons on the front of the jacket although only one of them fastens through a buttonhole. On the inside front of the jacket there is a concealed button which can also be fastened through a concealed buttonhole for added security. There is a welted, breast pocket for a handkerchief on the left side of the chest; and a jetted pocket on either side of the waist. There is a dart on either side of the front opening, running from the chest to the pockets. There is a vent at the back of the jacket. The inside of the jacket is lined and there are jetted pockets on either side of the chest. Moss Bros.

Formal trousers in a black woollen fabric. Trousers are front fastening via three, black, plastic buttons and another concealed button on the inside of the waistband. In addition, there is a hook and eye on an extended waistband tab and adjustable side tabs with buckles at either side of the waistband for added security. There are concealed, vertical, in seam pockets on either side of the waist; and a horizontal, jetted pocket with a button fastening at the reverse on the right side. There is a black ribbon that runs the length of each of the side seams. The trousers are unlined. Moss Bros.
