Note
The suit was made for the donor by a tailor in Melrose, Scotland, using a length of handloomed, Jacob Sheep Tweed which the donor had bought at the Holm Agricultural Show in Newcastleton.
Note
The Jacob Tweed takes its name [and wool] from the piebald or spotted, four-horned Jacob Sheep which produces different shades of wool from dark brown to cream. This wool is highly durable.
