Black, knee length breeches in a velvet fabric. Breeches are front opening via three mother-of-pearl buttons on a concealed button placket. Six matching buttons sit on the outside of the waistband to enable braces to be worn. The cuffs of the breeches at each knee have three buttons, as well as a buckle in marcasite by way of fastening. At the reverse of the breeches there is a cinch fastening and single, button fastened pocket. The breeches are unlined. Unknown

Waistcoat in a black velvet fabric. Waistcoat is front fastening via four cut steel buttons. At either side of the front opening sits a horizontal, welted pocket. The reverse of the waistcoat is made from a black silk fabric with a cinch fastening comprising of two silk tabs that can be tightened using a gold-coloured, base metal buckle. The waistcoat is lined with a cream, silk lining. There have been some alterations to the waistcoat, with two inserts into the side seams. Unknown

Tailcoat coat [or cutaway coat] in a black velvet fabric. Jacket is front fastening via six cut steel buttons. As with the traditional tailcoat design, the front of the coat is cut away and stops just around waist length. The skirt of the coat at the rear is split and has has two tapering sections or 'tails.' These finish at approximately knee length. The coat originally had a cream, silk lining but is now unlined, leaving it's construction visible. Unknown

Tailored suit trousers in a dark blue woollen fabric. Trousers are front fastening via a zip fly and a double hook and eye fastening at the waist. There is a concealed tab and button inside the waistband which can be fastened for added security. There are also eight loops at the waist which enable a belt to be worn. There are angled pockets at either side of the waist and two jetted pockets at the back, one of which has a button closure. Single breasted jacket with notch lapels in a dark blue wool. Jacket is front fastening via two black, plastic buttons. Four smaller buttons are at each cuff. There is a welted, breast pocket on either side of the chest and at either side of the waist there are horizontal, jetted pockets with flaps. Darts sit above each of these pockets. Inside, the jacket is lined in a viscose fabric. There are three jetted pockets, two either side of the chest and another on the left side which sits closer to the waist. Christian Dior Monsieur

Single breasted, morning coat [or tailcoat] in black wool, with peak lapels. A single buttonhole is found on the left lapel. An angled, welted pocket is at the chest. The coat is front fastening via a black plastic button. Three smaller, black, plastic buttons are found at each cuff; and two more at the back of the coat. The coat is knee-length and characterised by a split [or vent] at the rear section of the skirt [known as the tails], with the front of the skirt cut away. Formal trousers in a black woollen fabric. Trousers are front fastening via three, black, plastic buttons and another concealed button on the inside of the waistband. In addition, there is a hook and eye on an extended waistband tab and adjustable side tabs with buckles at either side of the waistband for added security. There are concealed, vertical, in seam pockets on either side of the waist; and a horizontal, jetted pocket with a button fastening at the reverse on the right side. There is a black ribbon that runs the length of each of the side seams. The trousers are unlined. Moss Bros.

Double breasted suit jacket made from a black woollen fabric. Jacket has pointed lapels in a silk serge type fabric, with a buttonhole on each lapel. It is front fastening. There are four, black buttons on the front of the jacket although only one of them fastens through a buttonhole. On the inside front of the jacket there is a concealed button which can also be fastened through a concealed buttonhole for added security. There is a welted, breast pocket for a handkerchief on the left side of the chest; and a jetted pocket on either side of the waist. There is a dart on either side of the front opening, running from the chest to the pockets. There is a vent at the back of the jacket. The inside of the jacket is lined and there are jetted pockets on either side of the chest. Moss Bros.

The jacket has notch lapels [with a buttonhole on the left lapel] and is front fastening via two brown, plastic buttons. On the left side of the chest there is a welted breast pocket and there is a jetted, flap pocket on either side of the waist. To the reverse of the jacket there is a vent. The jacket is lined with a brown, satin fabric. There is a jetted pocket on the inside of the chest on the right hand side. Unknown
