            Tan coloured cotton and polyamide mix fabric over coat with wool and polyester mix charcoal grey lining. The coat fastens with three brown plastic buttons engraved 'Aigle 1853' and has an additional button under the collar allowing it to be buttoned up. There are three flapped button pockets on the front, one angled at chest and two angled at hips. Cuffs have button tabs and there is a vent at back which fastens with a small button and loop.             Black wool mix coat with deep funnel or cowl neck collar. It fastens with a heavy metal zip down the centre front. It has two pockets on the front, one on each side of the centre zip at waist level which are inserted into the front panels, the pocket flaps are created out of the top of the side panels. Lined in black polyester with 'Priceless Anthony Price' woven into it. Size L

            Double breasted fireman's half coat - 火消半纏 Hikeshi-Hanten - made of black cotton in a double-layered sashiko technique - 二重刺子 Futae-Sashiko - with rectangular unshaped sleeves, two pockets and a short back vent. It fastens with ten brass buttons in two rows down the front and a heavy metal hook and eye at the collar - one button has detached. The hem, front edges and armholes are bound in black binding. The sashiko technique has been used to stitch wide red stripes over the shoulders and sleeves, two wide white stripes around the bottom of the coat at thigh level, two rows of Japanese characters down the centre front and a circle containing a character on the back in white. Inside the coat is an abstract pattern of curves and a character in white using sashiko stitching.

            Double breasted coat in a dark grey wool fabric and with six, black, plastic buttons at the front. Four small, black, plastic buttons are found at each sleeve. Coat has peaked lapels with a buttonhole on the left lapel. There is a welted, breast pocket on the left side of the chest and a jetted pocket on either side of the waist. The back of the coat has a seam down the centre and a vent at the hem. Inside, there is a welted pocket on the left side of the chest. The coat has a burgundy lining. Next

            Waterproof coat made from a black PVC oilskin material. Coat has a short collar which is lined with a black wool. Coat fastens at the front via three, brown buttons on a concealed button placket [one button missing] and a fourth which is visible just below the collar on the right side. Two patch pockets with flaps are found to the front. The coat has a straight sleeve with no cuff and a rear vent which fastens with a single button. Royal Navy

            Yellow leather duffle style coat with three wooden toggle and rope closures on centre front (bottom one damaged). The front of the coat has a padded patch pocket on each side with rounded corners. The seams attaching the sections of leather together to form the body of the coat are top stitched, set in at 4 mm. There is a two piece hood which closes at the centre front with a tab and snap fastener. The coat has a yoke seam on front and back. The inside of the coat is printed with an enlarged image of the C.P. Company British sailor logo in blue yellow and red. The lining is cotton with a polyester padding. Made in Italy. C.P. Company

            Flat deconstructed trench coat made of patchworked pieces of two trench coats and their linings. The main part of the coat is made from beige material with the collar, storm flap, pocket welts and epaulettes reworked. The rest of the garment is constructed from patches of dark blue fabric and two types of tartan lining fabric. The tartan patterns are blue, red, green and white and second, brown, black and red.

            The collar goes over the head and the coat has metal hook and bar fastenings at the neck with two functioning plastic buttons down the front. There is a short flap that sits over the back of the neck. The rest of the garment is flat, including the sleeve shapes. The fronts and arms are lined in dark blue lightweight fabric. Label in the back of the neck.
