            Black cotton and vinyl peaked cap with detachable enamel and metal badge (part of a uniform of jacket, trousers and cap). The cap has a black vinyl crown and faded black cotton band. The stiff peak is black with a green underside and the lining of the cap is black cotton. It is stamped with BR and 6 1/2 in a roundel. The lining sweat band is leather (in poor condition). The enamel badge is red and brass coloured metal with 'BRITISH RAILWAYS' in a sans serif font and 'J PINCHES LONDON' on the back. There is some damage to the enamel.

            Navy blue Gore-Tex fabric air crew aviation overall with integral socks. It is made of a three layer laminate of synthetic outer face, Gore-Tex PTFE membrane and synthetic inner knit. It fastens centre front with a heavy-duty J-shape entry zip. It has been adapted with a post manufacture upgrade from Latex to Neoprene neck and wrist seals (all uncut). This upgrade was completed by the original equipment manufacturer. It has a stand collar with integral Hi-Viz. foldaway hood and boldaway, tethered Neoprene gloves. It has multiple storage pockets located on arms, chest, upper and lower leg areas (velcro or zip secured) and epaulette shoulder tabs.

            Black wool 'opera' top hat which is collapsible. It has a black grosgrain ribbon around the bottom of the crown and the brim is trimmed in black silk grosgrain. There is a wide band of black grosgrain silk lining the inside of the crown near the brim, the top part is lined in black silk satin. The crown is held up by collapsible metal frame and springs. The inside top of the crown is printed in gold with a design of a crown over a ribbon with: Established 1826 / Mander / and Allender / Best London / 5 and 7. / DALE STREET, / LIVERPOOL Mander and Allender

            Bucket style hat with a soft, wide-brim. Hat is made from a cream cotton fabric with a blue / green trim around the brim. There are two eyelets, made from metal with a blue / green coating, placed on either side of the crown of the hat for ventilation. Unknown

            MK1 Dispatch Riders helmet made by BMB [Briggs Motor Bodies] of Dagenham. Metal shell which has extensive all-over rust. Cream cotton canvas webbing liner straps with padded coarse wool felt liner for additional stability. Tan leather support inside the crown and dark brown leather ear flaps and support at the back of the head which are lined in beige wool flannel with two cream wool felt pieces to cover the ears. This is adjustable by lacing via eight metal eyelet holes with separate black cotton lace. The thin leather chin strap fastens with a metal buckle and is broken away from the right ear flap.

            Pair of trousers made out of checked Harris Tweed wool and light blue denim. The legs of the trousers are made of orange, green yellow, white and dark green tartan wool. The waistband (with seven belt loops), front hip sections, lower back yoke and denim fly are made of denim. There are three pockets at the front, two inset pockets with curved openings trimmed with denim and on the right him a small denim coin patch pocket. At the back are two patch pockets made of the tartan wool (matched to the pattern of the trouser) with denim trims across the top. Westwood orb emblem gold coloured metal button at top of fly and red Vivienne Westwood label on rear left side above pocket. Harris Tweed label on inside centre back waistband. Lined in light orange acetate rayon. Size 32

            Smart trousers in a grey wool [cashmere] fabric. Trousers are front fastening via a zip fly with a hook and eye fastening on an extended waistband tab. Loops are found at the waistband which allows a belt to be worn. Angled pockets sit on either side of the waist. At the back, there is a flap pocket on the left and a jetted pocket on the right.             Hood for an academic gown. The outside of the hood is made from a black, grosgrain fabric and the lining from a red, silk, taffeta. The hood is worn around the neck [it goes on over the head], draping over shoulders, with the long cowl draping down the back. The hood attaches to the shirt of the wearer via a a small loop of thread attached to the thin, front of the hood. Unknown

            Long academic gown in a black woollen fabric. Gown has what are known as glove sleeves [full hanging sleeves], with horizontal slits just above the elbow that the arms feed through.
