Headed notepaper: The Tribune, 23-29 Bouverie Street, Fleet Street, London EC. Signed by the Literary Editor.
'Many thanks for your note. I shall have pleasure in using Mrs. Allingham's takes entitled 'The Wild Convolvulous', and 'The Prince's Wish' at half a guinea each. I am returning the story about Santa Claus because it is a little too early in the season to begin talking of Christmas trees. But is is a pleasant story, and I should be glad to use it but for this objection. Perhaps Mrs Allingham will submit some other stories at her convenience. I shall always be glad to consider them.'
