'We thank you for your suggested scheme as outlined in your letter of the 7th January. We very much appreciate the interest which you show in our Firm in giving us the opportunity of considering your idea. As youcan readily understand we have considered in the greatest detail suggestions of all kinds and the ideas contained in your communication do not constitute any novelty as far as we are concerned. This fact does not, however, lessen our appreciation of the interest you have shown in our business and the courtesy of your communication.
We may add we have no present intention of running a scheme involving any of the ideas which are set out in your communication.
P.S. Under separate cover we are forwarding a tin of KENSITAS cigarettes which we ask you to accept with our compliments.'
