‘Your letter of the 22nd inst. has been handed to me. There is no possibility of the information in regard to your scheme respecting Earl’s Court having leaked out from here as no one had any knowledge of the matter except Mr. Bottomley and the writer. It could therefore only have been a case of 'great minds thinking alike'.’
