'Re the New Boys' Paper, I have quote an aversion to taking up anything that has already been run by another house, and besides, as far as can readily understand it would be more to our profit to project a new paper of our own and take all the gains (or losses) in it, than enter into a bargain with others. But whatever my feeling might be I am sure my other directors would not consider this.'
