管理历史
The company was established in 1892 by David Lewis Isaacs and was located at 124 Great Portland Street, London. Trading under the name ‘D Lewis,’ the company was initially a traditional gentlemen’s outfitters. In the early 1900's, Great Portland Street became known as 'Motor Row' due to the number of motor showrooms located on the street. D. Lewis Ltd therefore started specialising in coats, gloves, goggles and headgear for drivers. In the 1960s, the name was changed to Lewis Leathers. The Issacs family ran the business until 1980. The Great Portland Street Store closed in 1993 and for a spell the company was mail order only. In 2003 the business was bought by Derek Harris, a life long enthusiast, who opened a retail store in Whitfield Street, close to it's original premises [https://hidden-london.com/nuggets/lewis-leathers/].
