            Long academic gown in a black woollen fabric. Gown has what are known as glove sleeves [full hanging sleeves], with horizontal slits just above the elbow that the arms feed through.             Hood for an academic gown. The outside of the hood is made from a black, grosgrain fabric and the lining from a red, silk, taffeta. The hood is worn around the neck [it goes on over the head], draping over shoulders, with the long cowl draping down the back. The hood attaches to the shirt of the wearer via a a small loop of thread attached to the thin, front of the hood. Unknown

            White cotton running vest. In the centre is the England rose motif in a woollen fabric on a white, twill background [the logo patch is 15cm in length and 10cm wide].             White cotton Athletic Vest. The centre chest is covered with three horizontal stripes of green, yellow and blue [each stripe is 4cm wide], which are sewn onto the Vest, instead of attaching it to fabric or weaving it in. In the centre of the stripes is an embroidered, woollen, oval patch with a blue border and three handmade red capital letter A's representing the Amateur Athletic Association. The internal label states 'use Lux for washing as directed on Lux packet. Do not boil nor use hot water.' Umbro

            Long-sleeved football shirt in woven fabric. The body of the shirt is red and it has a white turn-down collar, white sleeves and cuffs that button. It has a placket at the neck which fastens with three white plastic buttons. Large white '4' appliqued onto the centre back (appears to have been added later).             Long-sleeved pullover smock made from orange cotton fabric, featuring a hood and a chest opening secured by six buttons. The cuffs are adjustable, with two buttons and extended tab fastening. A large concealed horizontal zip pocket is positioned at the upper front.             Yellow oilskin 'Speedway' cape by Belstaff, designed for cyclists and motor sport spectators. It fastens at the neck placket with two brass poppers, with an additional popper on the collar to secure it when standing. An angled placket tab provides extra rain protection. The cape features two heat-sealed side seams and a central seam running from the front placket. It has a curved hem and includes three internal plastic tabs at waist height, originally threaded with ties to allow the wearer to cinch the cape closer to the body.
