It has a deep curved neckline which is edged in gold coloured pointed glass beads. It closes centre front with 5 pairs of black japanned metal hooks and eyes which alternate. Lined in cream cotton and with a green cotton sateen back strap with black japanned two prong metal buckle with 'BRITISH' engraved into it. There is a name stamped in black ink on the lining 'J. S. Philips' and handwritten in green pencil 'R S M GRAHAM'.

The jacket has notch lapels [with a buttonhole on the left lapel] and is front fastening via two brown, plastic buttons. On the left side of the chest there is a welted breast pocket and there is a jetted, flap pocket on either side of the waist. To the reverse of the jacket there is a vent. The jacket is lined with a brown, satin fabric. There is a jetted pocket on the inside of the chest on the right hand side.

The front is lined in pale pink acetate which also constructs the cinched back. Part of a selection of suits that Vivienne Westwood made for iconic hairstylist Sam McKnight from women's fabrics selected by McKnight, who worked with Westwood in the early 1990s before the launch of Westwood's MAN collections in 1996. The suit was last worn by Sam McKnight at Kate Moss's thirtieth birthday party at Claridges in 2004.

A fine, yellow stripe is laid over the black and follows the same pattern, The lining, collar and the two jetted pockets at the waist are made of black satin. The jacket is fastened by a single, satin covered button and each cuff by two smaller satin buttons.
