Postcard showing seven men posing in swimming costumes around a large shield, labelled 'Hastings & St Leonards Observer Town Shield' outside an unidentified building. The Polytechnic Magazine December 1925 issue reports that this is the first water-polo team. The names of the men photographed are:
Top line: C. J. D'Aith, R. Kimber, A. Judkins, A. H. Pycock and A. J. Wright. Bottom line: C. Smith (Capt.) and A. Van Beets.
