Archival history
These photos came from personal albums compiled by a man called George Sewell who lived in Richmond Hill. He was a commercial film maker who made promotional films for the likes of BP , Huntley & Palmers etc and also ran film making summers schools in the 1960s. The photo albums we obtained were made up of personal holiday snaps, him at work and at various functions and meetings of the Institute of Amateur Cinematographers of whom he was President. The albums were broken down and the photographs sold separately.
