Correspondence between the Polytechnic and Reginald Brett, 2nd Viscount Esher, Lord Leith of Fyvie and Buckingham Palace, arranging the visit of the King & Queen to the Polytechnic including the order of the tour and text of the address
Includes subsequent draft correspondence regarding autochromes taken by Eric Studd of the gardens in Calcutta during the Royal Visit to the Delhi Durbar, prepared by Messrs Lumiere & Sons and developed by Howard Farmer. These were the first autochromes taken in India and were offered by the Polytechnic as a gift to the King & Queen.
Also correspondence regarding the purchase by the Queen of works by students in the Polytechnic School of Art and a gift of the print of the King's portrait and a copy of the Polytechnic Magazine.
