Biographical history
Became Organiser of Physical Education and Social Activities for Men in January 1948.
'Mr. Edmundson holds the London University Teachers' Certificate and also the Diploma in Physical Education of the Carnegie Physical Training College with Distinction in Teaching. He has had considerable experience in teaching, and in 1938 was appointed Assistant Organiser of Physical Education under the Middlesex County Council. He had a distinguished war record. Soon after being commissioned in the Royal Fusiliers he was awarded the M.C. in North Africa. Afterwards he held several important administrative posts connected with Physical Training and Sports Training in the Mediterranean theatre. At the present time he is LieutColonel Commanding a Cadet Battalion of the Middlesex Regiment.' (The Polytechnic Magazine, Jan 1948)
