General file covering a wide range of issues, mostly relating to the educational administration of the Polytechnic. The file is believed to have been kept by Mr Humphrey. It has been sub-divided into several sections:

Agreements: papers covering the appointment of staff including a job description for the Head of the School of Commerce, LCC form letters and conditions of appointment and blank Chelsea Polytechnic forms.

Electrical Maintenance: accounts for electrical costs 1931-1936 and a paper written by the Head of the School of Engineering, P Kemp, detailing work carried out in the last 10 years and work that needs to be done. Includes mention of work done in the Cinema and various workshops.

O.Q.s: paper on relationship between the Polytechnics and the Old Quintinians.

Loose papers including: staff salary scales; statistics of out-county students on London fees; list of acheivements by schools including professional recognition and an increase in student numbers; statistics of student numbers and student hours; Matriculation department social costs; numbers of students unable to obtain admission; Polytechnic Theatre [cinema] seating plan; entrance examinations for the Secondary School; table for calculating out-county fees; plan of seating for the Polytechnic Theatre (cinema); list of names of day school students with fees remitted 1936; survey of staff views on the telephone system 1935; LCC report on super-annuation of non-teaching staff; LCC circular on fees for students residing in Middlesex; list of payments to Middlesex Hospital since 1919; named list of Jewish students with fees remitted 1935.
