PTA/5/2/1-31 are glass slides of a Polytechnic Touring Association trip to Norway on the S Y 'Viking'. The images were taken by S J Beckett, FRPS. Many have been labelled with the initials W.N. There are two different numbering sequences on the slides so it is unclear if they were a sample set for sale to passengers on the trip or if they were used by the PTA for advertising purposes.
PTA/5/2/32-51 are a series of glass negatives which were acquired together as a collection. Nothing is known about the photographer(s).
PTA/5/2/52 is copies of material held in the County Archives in Sogn og Fjordane, Norway.
PTA/5/2/53-54 were acquired separately.
