Colour image showing the chalets with lake and mountains [Mount Pilatus] in distance, taken from higher ground and featuring the steamer on the lake. Used.
Inscribed on reverse: 'Hotel Schreiber, Rigi Kulm. Dear Agg. Here we are at the most picturesque country in the world. We are staying at the Chalet on Lake Lucerne. Have come up here for the day by steamer & wonderful rail. As we have lunch can see the Austrian Tyrol, Blk Forest of Germ., Swiss Oberland, Italian Alps & French Alps. Just beside a precipice of 4000ft - scenery just glorious. Love from both. Marion.' Addressed to Mrs Mulchinook, 'Deptford', Ranfurlie Cres., Melbourne, Australia. Postmarked 28 Aug 1922, Rigi-Kulm, with a Swiss stamp.
