Postcard shows Lucerne lake shore, with Mount Pilatus in the distance, printed by Globetrotter A-G, Luzern. Used.
Addressed to Mrs Gardiner, 2 Panmore Street, Montrose, North Scotland, inscribed: 'Dear Mrs Gardiner, you will be surprised to here [sic] I have landed here! We arrived sunday morning after a tiring journey. Thought I would like to compare the scenery with our own. My hubby and Jas encouraged me. We sailed on the lake to-day and go again tomorrow Thursday to ?Fluclin at the head of the lake. It is all very beautiful. We go on to Paris on Sat. for day. Regards to all, yours J Simpson.' Postmarked 20 Aug 1936, Luzern. Stamp removed.
