Colour postcard of steamship on lake moving away from the shore, with steam billowing from funnel. Used. On verso ms message: 'So far the journey has been quite pleasant. We had a lovely crossing and on arrival here after the long railway journey we crossed the lake in this steamer - the scenery is too beautiful - Tomorrow we make the ascent of Pilates a very high peak. Love from [G].' Addressed to Mr A Baldwin, Newport Street, Stonehouse, Plymouth.
