B&W postcard of an elaborately carved stone gateway, with wrought iron railings. Behind the gate, curved stone steps leading to a central stone balcony can be seen together with two buildings opposite each other. Used. Stamped and Postmarked 18/7/1929.
On verso, ms: 'Dear [David], How dreadfully hot it is, but very lovely. haven't done any ["Islands"?] yet, shall begin in earnest tomorrow. Much love, Babs.'
