Postcard made up of four scenes:
- aerial view of the chalets, with lake steamer and Mount Pilatus in distance.
- interior of the dining room (showing the painted mural, ornate plaster ceiling and fireplace decorated with walking poles).
- interior of the social room (showing the open-beamed ceiling, wall paintings and easy chairs and tables).
- view of the chalets from the gardens.. Used.

Inscribed on reverse: 'Friday p.m. Dear Mum & Dad, Arrived here safely after a very good crossing. We were just in time for tea & are now awaiting dinner. This is a perfectly marvellous place right on the Lake with the mountains on the other side. Very, very hot & brilliant sunshine. Love to Eldy & family & to yourselves. Ada, John & [Corinne]'. Addressed to Mr & Mrs [redacted] Sheffield, England.
