1. A race at the National Recreation Centre, Crystal Palace. The caption below the photograph speculates that the competition may have been a 'National League 5000' and that the year was possibly 1969. Leading the event is John Boggies, followed by Mike Davis, Adrian Weatherhead, Bernie Plain and Peter Stewart.

2. The Callard and Bowser Trophy at Chiswick. From 1962 onwards it was annually presented to the winner at the Polytechnic Harriers Marathon.
