Medal is a silver metal disc featuring a design of runners on one side with the engraving 'The Polytechnic Marathon 1986 for Children's Liver Research, sponsored by United Greenfield Ltd' and 2 children on the verso with the engraving 'LDC fight children's liver disease'. The medal has a green strap embossed with UG.
Also includes a cover sheet signed 'Best wishes Hugh Jones'.
