'The Umbrella were a short lived band from 1983-ish to about 1985. I shared a flat with the drummer, Simon Hoare (the one with the white hair) and became involved in their publicity, doing band shots, a record cover and a video. Norman Fisher Jones (the one with the black spiky hair) went on to form Apollo 440 and be a member of the Cure and Magazine as well as collaborating with Howard Devoto on solo projects. Jim Gardner in glasses) emigrated to New Zealand where he is a composer. The other gentleman left the band shortly after this shoot, making all the band shots redundant. Spring 1984.'
