Scope and content

The records of the Ladies' Cycling Club, which had a loose affiliation with the Polytechnic Cycling Club [PCC], but whose members did not belong to the PCC. Members of the one club were frequently spouses of members of the other, for example Mrs Maybanks' husband Brian Maybanks served as the Honorary General Secretary of the PCC for many years. In the late 1950s the PCC began to admit women members. However, by this time the Polytechnic Ladies Cycling Club had petered out. All items in this fond originated in PCC deposits.
