It fastens centre front with five large beige plastic buttons. It has a brown corduroy collar and corduroy lining to the cuffs. Half circle shaped padding to the right shoulder with diamond pattern lines of quilting. The cuffs fasten with two small plastic buttons. It has a pocket with a flap and pleat on the left chest which fastens with a plastic button. There are two large front lower pockets with button flaps and elastic ammo slots. Has side pockets to keep hands warm. Interior has vented shoulder lining, belt. Vent holes or eyelets under the arms. All of the large plastic buttons have 'J.C. Higgins' embossed on them. Appears unworn and has no labels.

The right chest has an octagonal leather patch embossed with 'Burberrys' under the logo. It has two large pouched pockets at front below the waist which fasten with two press studs. There is a verical opening pocket to the left chest which fastens with a YKK zip. The coat has rectangular patches to each elbow and tabs at each side seam below the arm which can be tightened with metal D rings.

Dark navy blue short jacket with peaked lapels, gold buttons and gold braid stripes around cuffs. The jacket has six button holes down each lapel and the front of the jacket. It has six gold coloured metal shank buttons embossed with the Royal Navy emblem of a fouled anchor under the St Edwards crown worn by Elizabeth II. There are also two separate buttons linked with a metal clip to secure the jacket. The buttons are back stamped with 'GIEVES'. On each lower sleeve are three bands of goldwork braid, the third band also has a loop - these are for the officer rank of Commander. The jacket is lined in black rayon (or silk?) sateen and has lines of quilting running vertically from the hem to the armhole on the back panels. The sleeves are lined in white twilled rayon (or silk?). There is a tailors label inside the right lower inside pocket.

Double breasted jacket (part of a two piece suit) in wool cloth with a woven Prince of Wales check pattern in grey with vertical twill lines of yellow and horizontal lines of lavender. The collar has a slight curve and it has pointed lapels with a buttonhole in each. It has six plastic buttons in a transparent yellow and brown tortiseshell effect at the front with three smaller buttons in the same design on each cuff vent. There are two flapped pockets at the waist and one angled welted pocket on the left breast. It has no back vents. The jacket is lined in grey striped viscose with white striped viscose sleeve linings and has two inside pockets on the left and one on the right.
