It fastens centre front with a heavy-duty J-shape entry zip. It has been adapted with a post manufacture upgrade from Latex to Neoprene neck and wrist seals (all uncut). This upgrade was completed by the original equipment manufacturer. It has a stand collar with integral Hi-Viz. foldaway hood and boldaway, tethered Neoprene gloves. It has multiple storage pockets located on arms, chest, upper and lower leg areas (velcro or zip secured) and epaulette shoulder tabs. Khaki cotton jacket with green corduroy collar and tartan lining. The jacket fastens centre front with a metal YKK zip and six metal press studs embossed with the Burberrys horse and rider emblem. The right chest has an octagonal leather patch embossed with 'Burberrys' under the logo. It has two large pouched pockets at front below the waist which fasten with two press studs. There is a verical opening pocket to the left chest which fastens with a YKK zip. On the left chest and on each shoulder is a machine embroidered logo of the London Underground roundel in white with 'UNDERGROUND' in blue. Black cotton and vinyl peaked cap with detachable enamel and metal badge (part of a uniform of jacket, trousers and cap). The cap has a black vinyl crown and faded black cotton band. The stiff peak is black with a green underside and the lining of the cap is black cotton. It is stamped with BR and 6 1/2 in a roundel. The lining sweat band is leather (in poor condition). The enamel badge is red and brass coloured metal with 'BRITISH RAILWAYS' in a sans serif font and 'J PINCHES LONDON' on the back. There is some damage to the enamel. Single breasted sleeved waistcoat (part of a suit of waistcoat and trousers) in grey wool with six small black plastic shank buttons to the front. It has a turn down lapel at the front and no collar. There are two matched pairs of horizontal jetted inset pockets on either side of the centre front. The sleeves are made of heavy duty grey cotton grey with a red pinstripe and have dark grey cuffs. It is lined in black synthetic material. The back of the waistcoat is longer than the front and there are small vents in each side seam. It has the original factory label to inside front of the waistcoat with measurements and sticker with date stamp 'Apr 80'. Pockets, waistband and fly lined with black synthetic material. Dark navy blue short jacket with peaked lapels, gold buttons and gold braid stripes around cuffs. The jacket has six button holes down each lapel and the front of the jacket. It has six gold coloured metal shank buttons embossed with the Royal Navy emblem of a fouled anchor under the St Edwards crown worn by Elizabeth II. There are also two separate buttons linked with a metal clip to secure the jacket. The buttons are back stamped with 'GIEVES'. On each lower sleeve are three bands of goldwork braid, the third band also has a loop - these are for the officer rank of Commander. The jacket is lined in black rayon (or silk?) sateen and has lines of quilting running vertically from the hem to the armhole on the back panels. The sleeves are lined in white twilled rayon (or silk?). There is a tailors label inside the right lower inside pocket.
