White, cotton jabot [scarf] with pleats running its length and ornate lace trim at either end. The inside of the jabot is reinforced and halfway down the length there is a loop at the top edge so that the jabot can be fastened to the back of the collar of the shirt that it is being worn with. 无标题的

Single breasted, V-neck waistcoat in a black woollen fabric. Waistcoat has no collar and is front fastening via six textured buttons. At the front of the waistcoat there are four, angled, welted pockets; one on either side of the chest and one on either side of the waist. To the reverse of the waistcoat there is a cinch fastening comprising of two tabs that thread through a buckle and that can be tightened depending on the fit that is required. Heavy, black, woollen overcoat with a fur lining. The coat is double breasted and front fastening, with eight buttons at the front; and has a shawl collar. There is a angled. welted, breast pocket on the left side of the chest. At either side of the waist, there is a large jetted pocket with a flap. Above this on the right side, there is a smaller jetted pocket with a flap. There is no back seam or slit at the back of the coat. The inside of the coat is lined with brown fur. 无标题的

Long sleeve, linen smock. Pullover in style, the smock has an open neckline and a large, flat collar. A panel of smocking is found around the opening. As the smock is reversible [front-to-back], the back is identical to the front. Small panels of smocking are also found on each sleeve, near the shoulder and the cuffs. Long linen shirt with a high neck collar that fastens with two mother of pearl buttons. The shirt opens to just below the chest, fastening with an additional three mother of pearl buttons. These are concealed by a double frill in fine, gathered Mechlin [type of Belgian] lace. The shirt has long sleeves and the cuffs button with mother of pearl buttons [one missing]. Thigh length, single breasted tunic [or jacket] in red wool. Tunic has a high neck and a standing collar that is faced with a khaki green woollen fabric and edged with silver braid and lace. Each side of the collar features the regimental insignia which is constructed using braid. Tunic fastens at the front via eight, ornate, domed, metal buttons [tarnished] and the collar with a double hook and eye fastening. The tunic is lightly tailored with the buttons stopping at the waist seam which runs the circumference of the tunic. At either side of the front opening there is a horizontal in seam pocket. The chest panel is slightly quilted to give a rounded shape. The cuff of each sleeve is faced in a khaki wool, matching the collar, with an ornate, silver lace and braid design [known as frogging] that finishes just before the elbow on each arm. The lining of the tunic is slightly quilted with panels of a cream woollen fabric as well as a cream twill. The internal waistband is constructed from a red leather and fastens via two concealed hook and eye fastenings. To the reverse, the skirt of the tunic has a type of box pleat [known as a sword pleat] at the centre, featuring two buttons, identical to those on the front, and white piping. At the reverse there is also a metal hook on the waistband which would have been used to hold a type of pouch known as a sabretache. 无标题的

Single breasted jacket [or tunic] in a blue / black woollen fabric. Jacket is front fastening via eight gilt brass buttons, each featuring the Royal Artillery insignia. Jacket has a standup collar which is faced with a red woollen fabric with gold lace stitched on top. The edges of the collar are piped in gold braid and there is a silver threadwork badge that sits on either side of the collar depicting an exploding grenade for the Royal Artillery. Both the edges of the front opening and the hem are piped with red wool. Each shoulder of the jacket is decorated with plaited gold braid topped with badges that denote the rank of the wearer [Colonel]. Each sleeve is ornately decorated with gold braid [known as frogging], from the cuff to just below the elbow. There is a seam that runs the horizontally around the circumference of the jacket at the waist. At the centre of the jacket at the reverse there are two buttons that sit 6cm apart on the waist seam with thin stripes of red piping running vertically down from these to the hem. The inside of the jacket is lightly quilted at the chest and back. Cream sateen fabric is used above the waistband to line the jacket with black sateen from the waistband to the hem. 无标题的
