The OMA comprised a Men's and a Ladies' (Women's) Section which appear to have remained quite separate throughout their lifetime despite suggestions in the early 1950s to amalgamate the two into a single Association. The two sections worked jointly to organise various events, including the Annual Children's Party and the Old Tyme Dances. The records have been kept together under a single reference, but an indication has been given as to whether they relate specifically to the Men's or Ladies' OMA sections. Although the majority of the records relate to the Men's OMA there are significant series of Minutes for the Ladies' OMA and correspondence from the Ladies' Section can be found with the Men's correspondence files. Records include Minutes for AGM and Committee meetings, Agendas for meetings, financial records, membership records and publications as well as memorabilia relating to social activities.
