In Yan'an he worked in Communications, as well as leading a team that made charcoal in the forests. In 1944 he died when a kiln collapsed on him, and was memorialized in Mao Zedong's speech 'Serve the People', which was one of the constantly read articles during the Cultural Revolution. This poster shows him in Yan'an, at nighttime in the winter. Poster 1 of 4.
