            Olive green canvas tabard with six large pockets on the front and back. The tabard has a low round neck and side openings which are edged in green cotton binding. The pockets have been made by one piece of fabric with inverted pleats at the bottom and then sewn vertically in six sections so they are wider at the top and stand away from the body of the tabard. The stitching is in yellow thread. The tabard is unlined and the makers label is sewn into the right rear inside.

            Pair of black chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) proof overboots made of injection-moulded bromobutyl (rubber). Each boot fastens with three tabs and buttons. Printed with date 2003 on the inside. The soles are ridged and they have been worn.

            Round necked, short sleeved, sports jersey in a stretchy spandex fabric. The shirt is black with all detailing in a muted, shaded dark grey / black, making it barely visible. The Warrington Wolves logo is displayed on the left side of the chest, and the logo for the sponsor, 'o'neils', is to the right of this. The front of the shirt also features two V shapes, one large and one smaller that run from the shoulders; and diagonal stripes at the side seams. On the reverse are the words 'Black Lives Matter.'             Thigh length, single breasted dress jacket [or tunic] in red wool. Jacket has a high neck and a standing collar that is faced with black wool and edged with gold braid and lace. Jacket fastens at the front via eight, ornate, domed, brass buttons and the collar with a double hook and eye fastening. The jacket is lightly tailored with the buttons stopping at the waist seam which runs the circumference of the jacket. The chest panel is slightly quilted to give a rounded shape. The cuff of each sleeve is faced in a black wool, matching the collar, with gold lace and binding creating and ornate design that finishes just before the elbow on each arm. To the reverse, the skirt of the tunic has a type of box pleat [known as a sword pleat] at the centre, featuring six buttons, identical to those on the front, and white piping. At the reverse there is also a metal hook on the waistband which would have been used to hold a type of pouch known as a sabretache. The lining of the jacket is slightly quilted with panels of a cream woollen fabric as well as a cream twill. The internal waistband is constructed from a red woollen fabric and fastens via two concealed hook and eye fastenings. British Army

            Single breasted jacket [or tunic] in a blue / black woollen fabric. Jacket is front fastening via eight gilt brass buttons, each featuring the Royal Artillery insignia. Jacket has a standup collar which is faced with a red woollen fabric with gold lace stitched on top. The edges of the collar are piped in gold braid and there is a silver threadwork badge that sits on either side of the collar depicting an exploding grenade for the Royal Artillery. Both the edges of the front opening and the hem are piped with red wool. Each shoulder of the jacket is decorated with plaited gold braid topped with badges that denote the rank of the wearer [Colonel]. Each sleeve is ornately decorated with gold braid [known as frogging], from the cuff to just below the elbow. There is a seam that runs the horizontally around the circumference of the jacket at the waist. At the centre of the jacket at the reverse there are two buttons that sit 6cm apart on the waist seam with thin stripes of red piping running vertically down from these to the hem. The inside of the jacket is lightly quilted at the chest and back. Cream sateen fabric is used above the waistband to line the jacket with black sateen from the waistband to the hem. British Army

            Silver coloured aluminised material jacket. It has a stand collar and large curved detachable throat guard. It closes centre front with a wide placket flap over the closure. There are two large flapped bellows pockets at the hips and a narrow flapped bellows pocket on the left chest.             Single breasted, black woollen jacket with a stand up collar. The jacket is front fastening via five domed, brass buttons with regimental insignia and the collar via a double hook and eye fastening. Two matching brass buttons are found on each cuff as well as a brass button on each of the shoulder straps. These straps also display three metal rank badges. On the front of the jacket are four large patch pockets, two on the chest and two at the waist. The two chest pockets have flaps and a brass button closure. A medal ribbon is located on the left side of the chest, above the patch pocket. Brass insignia are attached to the outside of the collar on either side of the opening. There is a 16cm vent at each of the side seams. To the reverse, there is a centre seam that runs the length of the reverse and then a seam on either side of this which curves out from the shoulder seam and runs vertically to the hem. The inside of the jacket is lined with a black satin fabric. The inside of the collar has five brass studs to enable a removable, stiff white collar to be attached [2022.36.20.2]. British Army

            Sportswear trousers in cream cotton. Trousers are front fastening with a button fly. This comprises of four corozo nut buttons on a central, concealed placket that widens near the waistband; two buttons sitting off centre at the top of the placket, fastening to an internal flap; and a further two buttons stitched to the inside of the waistband on the left which fasten through button holes on the waistband to the right. The waistband has belt loops; adjustable buckles at either side of the waist; and internal buttons front and back to which braces can be attached. Angled, inseam pockets sit at either side of the waist and at the back are two welted pockets with a button fastening. The trouser legs have permanent turn ups, 1.5 inches deep. The trousers have been extensively altered having been made larger with alterations down the back seam and at the fly. Unknown
