A catalogue of decorative works of Robert and James Adam. There is a small preface followed by a series of photo-lithographic reproductions that illustrate their designs. There are examples of libraries, chimney-pieces, ceilings, finishings and furniture designs from the following buildings: Seat of the Duke of Northumberland; Library in Sion House; Sir Watkin Wynn's House in St. James Square; Earl Derby's House in Grosvenor Square; Residence of Lord Mansfield at Kenwood; Shelburn House, Berkeley Square; Seat of the Earl of Bute, Luton Park; Queen's House; St. James's Palace.
