A volume comprising a selection of the finest examples of Monumental and Domestic Woodwork of the Later Renaissance in England, chiefly of the period of Sir Christopher Wren. It contains 80 plates of measured drawings, illustrating the Choir Stalls at St. Paul's Cathedral, the decorative woodwork of Hampton Court Palace, the Colleges of Oxford and Cambridge and various details of Staircases and Chimney-pieces, together with introductory and descriptive text.
