The first volume containing the architectural works of Robert and James Adam, Esquires. The buildings included are: Seat of the Duke of Northumberland, at Sion; Villa of Earl Mansfield, at Kenwood; Seat of the Earl of Bute, at Luton Park; Public Buildings; Designs for the King and Queen, and the Princess Dowager of Wales. Each chapter begins with the explanations of the plates, followed by engravings of plans, elevations, sections and interiors of the buildings, some to scale.
