The first of two volumes offering insight on the Architectural Antiques of Rome. It contains an Introduction, and a series of original etchings and lithographs of the following buildings, with descriptive texts for each: The Triumphal Arch of Titus; The Triumphal Arch of Septimius Severus; The Arch of the Goldsmiths; The Arch of Trajan, at Ancona; The Arch of Constantine; The Pantheon, at Rome; Temple of Antoninus and Faustina. The plates depict measured drawings, elevations, sections and plans of the edifices mentioned.
