The brand was founded by Alfred Dunhill who inherited his father’s equestrian saddlery and harness making business on the Euston Road, London in 1893 at the age of 21. Updating the business, Dunhill developed a line of accessories for the motorcar called "Dunhill's Motorities. Today the brand specialises in ready-to-wear, custom and bespoke menswear, leather goods, and accessories.

Utility vest made from white leather. Vest has a high v-neck and is front fastening via a gold zip. Either side of the chest there are two patch pockets with flaps, fastened by poppers. Under the left, chest pocket there is a horizontal, pocket with a gold zip fastening. Underneath this, on either side of the opening, there are two larger, patch pockets with flaps, fastened by poppers, on either side of the opening. Between the pocket on the left and the side seam, there in a thinner flap, patch pocket with a popper fastening. The vest is lower at the back than at the front.
